Please contact the centre directly using the contact details on our website. One of the team will be happy to help you.
During the taster session, our tutors undertake an initial observation and then the first session booked will include an assessment appropriate for your child’s age and school year group. Further assessments and observations are undertaken throughout your child’s time at inTuition Clubs, which help us report on progress made and allow us to review and revise programmes of tuition to suit your child’s needs.
The combination of a highly qualified tutor, working with the student’s school curriculum, and in coordination with the parents allows us to tailor the sessions to the student’s needs.
Not necessarily, but there will be a regular team of tutors in the centre. As the tuition programme is agreed all tutors can access the work and recommended programme of learning for your child. A change in tutor will mean that your child benefits from different styles of teaching, which in turn will lead to more independent learning and improved confidence levels as they work with different individuals.
Our staff all come from an education background and are experienced tutors, teaching staff with experience of tutoring and working with children.
Rate of improvement in grades is affected by many factors including the frequency of the tutoring sessions, how far behind the student might be when tuition commences, and the commitment of the student themselves. Quite often, early indicators such as increased confidence and a more positive attitude about school present themselves prior to increases in results.
No formal homework will be set; however, we always encourage our students to practise wherever possible what they have learned at the centre. We can advise parents of any topics which would benefit from practise at home.
Children begin their learning journey with us by completing an initial assessment, which allows us to determine areas for improvement. A personal programme of tuition is devised, and our team monitor progress throughout the tuition. You will receive regular feedback from a member of staff when you collect your child at the end of each tuition session. A more formal report will be provided every month detailing the progress your child is making. We also hold regular parent meetings to discuss progress and agree the ongoing tuition programme for your child. You are also more than welcome to ask to have a chat with a manager should you need any further information at any time.
Please call the centre as soon as you know you cannot make the planned session. We require 24 hours’ notice to cancel and re-arrange a session.
Membership payment are collected on the 1st of the month by Direct Debit, unless you opt to make payment using Childcare Vouchers, Tax-Free Childcare, or agree to make regular payment using online banking. Please ask staff for details.
Different membership plans can be found on our website page and we would be happy to discuss any individual requirements and plan appropriately for your child.
Firstly, we invite you and your child into our centre for a Free taster session. This will give you the chance to meet our team, have a look around the centre and decide if the type of tuition we have on offer feels like the right approach for you and your child. To start the ball rolling you can call us directly on 020 3092 7280 or simply complete the enquiry form on the website and we will contact you.
Your child will be tutored in a small group, usually between 2 and 6 children, however, your child will be working on their own personal programme of tuition, which has been devised to suit their ability level and focus on the required areas.
The tuition sessions are held in our purposely designed tuition centre on North Finchley High Road.
We currently offer tuition for Maths and English for primary-aged children.
We ask that you book sessions in advance to ensure availability of tuition on the days that suit you and at the time that you want. There is the opportunity to drop-in and we will try our best to accommodate you on these occasions but cannot always guarantee availability.
Yes, the inTuition Curriculum is aligned with the National Curriculum. Our objective is to help your child to consolidate what they learn at school and become secure in subject areas they may be having difficulty with. Their learning with us will always be applicable to their studies at school.
The team of tutors we work with come from a variety of backgrounds, including former and current educators, teachers, and subject specialist tutors. All our tutors undergo rigorous vetting and reference checks, and all must hold a full DBS check.
During school term time, tuition sessions will typically be held at allotted times between 15.30-19.45 on weekdays and between 9.15-17:15 on weekends. In the school holidays, a slightly amended timetable will be offered and details can be found in your local tuition centre.
